Welcome to the 19th U.S. National Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics to be held June 19-24, 2022 at the University of Texas in Austin. The Congress will feature a wide range of fields in applied and fundamental science and engineering where mechanics plays a key role. Research in theoretial, computational, and experimental mechanics will be highlighted in the classical fields aligned with solid and fluid mechanics and dynamics, as well as in the emerging technologies and applications such as additive manufacturing, renewable energy, and mechanotransduction in cells.
The Congress will be held at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center on the University of Texas at Austin campus. Attendees enjoy the historically intimate character of the university campus while also being immersed in the heart of the vibrant city of Austin, known for its pop culture and technology innovations. Participants will readily be able to stroll around the "40 acres" as well as visit the downtown area includeing the 6th Street with all of its restaurants, bars, and live music venues via a short cab ride (or long walk for the more adventurous).
We look forward to seeing you in Austin!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: At this time, we are planning for USNC/TAM 2022 to be a 100% in-person event. We are continuing to monitor the COVID-19 situation in order to make sure measures are taken to keep participants as safe as possible (e.g. mask/testing/vaccine requirements). Should there eventually be a need to move to the virtual mode for the meeting, we will post information and email participants as soon as possible.
