Fluid dynamics and mass transfer are essential to production efficiency and product quality in reacting processes in the chemical industry, defining everything from process design to product properties. This symposium will attempt to review the developments in these fields through the lens of fluid dynamics and more specifically mixing and reacting flows. The topics discussed in this session include experimental techniques in mixing flows, reactions in turbulent & non-turbulent interfaces, modeling of reacting flows, RANS, LES and DNS techniques in reacting flows.
